Ginny's mouth quirked up as she considered the boy before her, gaze running closely over his features. He was different than Harry - he lacked his fire and passion, the hot headed charging into danger nature that made him such a Gryffindor, however there was something about that unwavering belief in his eyes, that quiet confidence in himself and what was right that brought to mind her green eyed so strongly that it made her heart pang - something that it had not done for a while. Then again between the DA and Dracoto distract her she had not much time to think these days... Then again, perhaps that was the point. There was still too much raw emotion there -probably moreso now it was confused with her strange new relationship with the blonde Slytherin.
Pushing aside thoughts of her ex for now (it was hardly the time for introspection, however overdue) Ginny pulled her mind back to the task.
"Trust a Raven to speak so elegantly," she chuckled shaking her head before meeting his eyes. "Then if you're certain you're happy to sign we can do that now and I can answer any questions you have after. The contract is magically binding, but only to the extent of protecting our secrets, if after you're not happy with what we offer you're still free to walk away so long as you stay quiet."

Caden released a quiet laugh at Ginny's question, and then smirked at Leanna's answer. "Eh, that sounds about right," he agreed. "Honestly, though, I don't mind if we don't end up learning much in here. I'm sure it'll beat most of the other classes." Ginny's eyes flicked to the older redheaded girl in vague surprise at the answer to her quip, however she quickly seemed back to ignoring her. Her eyes lingered on her a moment before Caden snared her attention again. "You know... the sad thing is you might actually be right," she mused back at him, doubtful eyes shifting back to the elder Malfoy, taking in his demeanour. He still held the same poise as he always did, and was remarkably unruffled considering, but there was a slight lack of his usual air of purpose that made him seem... strange. She almost felt like gagging however as the Slytherin girls started blatantly fawning over him (seriously... gross. He was their mates dad... then again, she doubted that would bother Parkinson at least...), mildly amazed that the infamous Lucius bloody Malfoy let Pansy away for her cheeky comments. Seems his last while under the boot of Voldemort had curbed some of his haughtiness if he'd let even a child speak to him so frankly in public. Even one he appeared to like. As the blonde gestured for them to sit, Ginny dutifully and without protest moved to fold into a comfortable position, leaning on one hand and legs curled around her side next to Caden as she waited for him to actually start the class, lips twitching very slightly but otherwise giving no reaction as she watched Draco's little snooty moment out of the corner of her eye, insisting on transfiguring himself a chair rather than risking dirtying his robes. It was funny how something that would have once had her huffing and wanting to throw a dirt clod at his head now had her amused. ...Okay she still wanted to throw the dirt clod, but at last now it was goodnaturedly rather than in the hopes that it might brain him.

Her eyes flickered carefully over his face.
"Just like that, you've no questions first?" she offered him carefully. Honestly she trusted the boy's motives - she wouldn't be here if she didn't. He came across as genuine and Neville seemed to think highly of him, as did the other DA members that knew him, but she had to be fair and make sure he had all the chances to back out or get more informaiton before he really wound up in over his head.

"Hey, never underestimate the power of words," Caden shook his head at the girl as her shot her a wink. "Even under normal circumstances, a conversation is somethin' to be cherished." Ginny shot him a bemused look at the comment, his irrepressible cheer seeming quite at odds with the usual depressed atmosphere of the school these days. "I suppose you're right," she agreed, mouth curving up. "But I'd still prefer a good game of Quidditch myself." Out of the corner of her eye, the redhead was aware of the familiar banter going on between Bulstrode and Draco, trying not to look over as the dark haired nit started... petting him...?

"So," she offered as she sank into the comfortable cushions of the sofa, legs crossing and pausing to sip on her steaming cup, shrewd eyes on the boy before her. "Thought any more on what we spoke about last time?"

Unbelievably her luck seemed to be in... Ginny making it to her seat unchallenged as she dark haired woman turned to face them, obviously having missed her late sneaky entrance.
Or perhaps she was just waiting to pick her up on something else. SHe wouldn't put it past the sadist.
Her eyes flickered briefly to the board, taking in the greusome and archaic image in a second before she shifted her eyes in disgust back to her text book-while the sentiment of this particular book (educational text her arse) was not much better at least she could glare at the words without reading them rather than look at the vile picture.

Ginny let out a breath as she cast her an odd look, not for the first time questioning the girl's sanity and self absorbtion both... She had meant it, if and when the Carrows hauled her in, they wouldn't be interested in the name of a small fry like her. At best they wanted harry's doings and where abouts, at least they would love to know just what her and Neville were up to in their absence.

A petite hand caught the door as Alex let it swing back, just stopping it from slamming, pushing it open a moment later to allow Ginny's slender form to slip through, her brown eyes scanning quickly over the class, resting perhaps half a milisecond longer on Draco before she shifted her attention to the front of the class. Mouth turning down at the display of torture - between Leanna and her beloved Nott of all people - Ginny silently made her way to her seat, clamping down forceably on the urge to speak up and direct attention away from the other students.
Leanna had brough this on herself, the redhead reminded her heart. She had chosen Amycus's attention...

Ginny threw the other redhead a scathing look at the attempts to assert herself.
"*If* I get caught... *or* hauled in for questioning yet again, somehow I think you would be the last on the list for people they way information on," she retorted dryly.

Ginny's mouth thinned as she watched the Ravenclaw get tortured, torn between wanting to shake him for his bloody idiocy prodding her and half admiring the bullheaded cockyness of him. If she didn't know better she'd say for sure he was a Gryffindor...
If the idiot didn't watch out he'd be claimed by the bint for good, and she could vouch for how sucky that was. If he made it out of this encounter alive she made a mental note to corner him about his suicide wish.

Ginny hurried to the Muggle studies room - she was late she knew... Thanks to none other than Alecto's psychotic brother. Not that she gave a damn about the class or making a good impression, but the she-devil ran it and unlike the creepy but defiable quantity that was Lestrange, the Carrows had taught her to pick her battles. There was only so many crucios a girl could take after all, and only so far you could push these nut bags before they got inventive...
Finally reaching the room, the redhead pushed open the door head down as she slipped quietly to her desk, honestly not stupid enough to hope it would be allowed to slide. Internally she was waiting for the inevitable comment...

"Being his pet wont help wth that," the redhead sighed, pulling away from the finger to her lips and fixing the older girl with a deep, concerned look. "Look, Leanna... I know you think that this is the way to contribute but its not... yes I'll take any information you have regardless of how you get it, but that is in no way validation for this. It's a dumb idea and I'm not about to back you getting tortured and God knows what else, especially for nothing. He wont tell you anything of use, and if he does it'll be a trap. There are better ways to help the cause."

"Yes well, if nothing else I'll have 'could make a mean cup of tea' on my grave stone," she returned drolly, before jerking her head towards the couch. "Come one, lets sit down. I suppose we've got things we ought to discuss."

Ginny shot the boy a droll look.
"Fresh," she quipped before rolling a shoulder. "It was fine, didn't really get a chance to talk much though as Bulstrode and Malfoy came in early."

NOdding her thanks, Ginny added a small splash to each cup before checking the pot and giving it a quick stir up before placing a strainer over the first cup and pouring, repeating the same with the second.
"Here," she said at last, placing the pot under its cozy and handing him a cup as she picked up hers. "If you want sugar you'll have to add it."

She gave him a wink as she lifted the now bubbling kettle to pour the water into the teapot she had already measured out the leaves into.
"You should. It was very kind of me - I'm great like that," the Gryffindor joked before gesturing with her hand. "Do me a favour and grab the milk will you?"

(sorry totally missed like the last two pages of posts when I put up that last one there...)
Moving to her seat, Ginny slipped in to a position next to the Ravenclaws as was becoming her usual in the absence of her own Housemates - Gryffindors were scarce on the ground these days.
"Alex, Caden," she greeted the boys offering them a small, friendly smile.

"Like we haven't all been there before," Ginny offered wryly, shooting the teacher a look before the sound of a new student joining them distracted her. On spotting Bulstrode, the redhead resisted the urge to roll her eyes, lifting her teacup to her lips and finishing her drink before setting the cup back.
"Thank you for the tea Professor. I suppose I should go and get ready for class now before everyone arrives."

Ginny flashed him an impish grin before tisking and shaking her head as she moved to put the kettle on the boil.
"Nah, you Ravens are all talk. I'm sure you could write a lovely paper on tea making, but when it comes to the execution... total let down," she teased him back, glancing over her shoulder. "You need a Gryff to do the hard work."

"Then if you want to do something to protect it stand up and fight instead of trying to be some kind of martyr!" the redhead snapped back, frustration leaking into her tone. "Becoming Amycus's pet will do *no good* for anyone but him! The Carrow's don't tell their pets anything, alright? All he will do is torment you and break you, *how*will that help your precious Nott? It *wont* if anything if Carrow realises what your game is it will only make it worse for him!"
How could she be this blind? Couldn't she *see* how stupid this move was? she was just selling herself willingly into slavery for chocolate coins.

Ginny's frown grew as she studied the other girl before her.
She wanted to tell her that Nott wasn't worth it, that he was a complete arse that would use her and throw her away... but she hesitated, mind flicking to Draco. How many of her friends would say the same thing to her? Or worse, her family...? Somehow she doubted that ott had the same redeeming features... but at the end of the day Leanna knew him in a way she didn't. How could she judge her for that when she asked not to be judged for the same thing?
"You can't save people from themselves," she settled on at last, voice grave, though she left the Theo issue on that and focused on the really disturbing part, the one that had her wanting to shake the silly bint.
"For the love of Godric, no! Do *not* let Amycus turn you into a pet!" she argued, pushing herself from the sofa arm to approach her fully, expression deadly serious. "Look, Leanna... this isnt a game. You can't just play both sides like that, okay? Its not cool or romantic or whatever. Carrow is a sadistic nut - take it from me. He doesn't have any bundries. None. And even that insane sister of his can only curb him in so much. You do *not* want to be his pet, however useful you think it may be. He will chew you up and spit you out and leave you for dead. Even *if* you were to let it happen, he wouldn't tell you anything of value unless he was trying to trick you. He's insane not stupid... Just do yourself a favour and keep your head down and try to let him forget you exist!"

"Think Ill be the judge of that thanks," the redhead returned drolly, keeping said wand in hand, but it was mostly to make a point. She didn't trust the other girl as far as she could throw her - not after watching her fawn over Nott of all people, but neither did she think her dangerous exactly. She was just a pet, thats all. A willing pet. That wasn't really soemthing Ginny could ever respect.
Nonetheless she did *slowly* make her way over to the couch, choosing to perch on the arm rather than sit, her own arms folded over her chest as she shot Leanna a drlyly expectant look.
"What did you want to talk about?"

"Ginny Weasley," the redhead returned as she shook the Raven's hand, ignoring the lonely blonde figure by the fence that she could see out of the corner of her eye. She couldn't dwell on Draco right now, not while his father and all his Housemates were present. Even if he looked entirely morose in that 'Im a emotionless pureblood' kind of way that he tended to do.
"So," she joked as she let her hands fall, shooting the elder blonde a droll look, though her voice was low enough not to carry over to him. "On a scale of one to ten, whats your expectations for our learning in this class?"

The door was pushed open a few minutes later, a cautious looking Ginny popping her head in an surveying the room suspiciously. It was a foolish move to respond to the unsigned note she knew... but call her reckless she was damn curous as to what was going on, so against her better judgement here she was. On spotting the Ravenclaw girl she frowned stepping fully into the room at last, the door swinging shut behind her, and revealing that she was holding her wand.
"Barker? You were the one that wanted to see me?" she asked slowly as she eyed her.

"Yeah, that's right," the redhead agreed, smile growing a tad relieved for all Leanna seemed to be more or less ignoring her for reasons unknown. She supposed she should be offended, but at least this guy seemed alright. Lifting a hand the redhead offered it to him, curious eyes on his face. "Sorry I don't know your name."

A small comfortable sitting room set up, a blend of the large squishy comfortable chairs of Gryffindor and the high bookcases of Ravenclaw. Off to one side is a small kitchenette area for preparing drinks and snacks and further back a door leading to a small toilet.
