Ginny closed her eyes as she fought with her hot temper, jaw clenching, good hand curling in her sleeve.
"My robes are all bloody, if I keep wiping them on the floor I'll just get more blood everywhere, *Professor*" she ground out at last.

The redhead grit her jaw as the nails bit into her scalp, but she forced herself to ignore it, the gesture more insulting than painful compared to the rest of her form, good arm working hard to scrub away the last marks of the blood.
"I'm finished Professor," she stated at last, body growing still as she waited for the woman to inspect her work, highly aware of the damn claw still gripping her locks.

(Why are we rebooting...?)
Ginny watched the display impassively, hating what she was seeing there was no denying, torture was torture, it was all barbaric, but glad at least it was the SLytherin's getting the brunt of it for once and not herself or those she cared for.

Dean winced from the smack and his free hand shoved into his pocket. "I'm not chasing anyone at the moment." he muttered, looking at ground and scuffing his foot a little. "And if I get cursed too then there'll be less focus on you." he grinned again. "Helping each other out." Ginny settled her hand on her hip as she shot him a disbelieving look. "Bullshite," she scoffed. "You don't know how not to chase someone. And thanks but no thanks. I'm not looking for a hero Dean. Been there, done that. Never ends well."

A grunt left Ginny at the assault, her body forced down in a way that jarred her raw nerves before being harshly jerked back up by her hair.
"I wouldn't dream of giving you anything less than my best, Professor," she returned through gritted teeth, careful to try not to bash her still bleeding hand in the motions.

Dean almost, almost, pouted, but shook his head and grinned instead. "If you're going to take that job then I guess I better just tail you everywhere, make sure I don't get left alone to get pinned by DEs." Mouth kicking up at the side, Ginny reached up to slap him lightly upside the head. "Idiot, that would just make you *more* likely to be cursed. I'm a walking target. Besides, shouldn't you be off fawning after Brown or Wynters or whichever skirt it is you're chasing at the moment?"

The redhead snorted a light laugh as she shot him a droll look.
"You are a moron," she assured him sweetly, hand lifting to pat his cheek jokingly. "It's a terminal condition you suffer from. Don't worry though, I wont abandon you to suffer on alone. Someone has to keep your sorry ass alive."

Ginny consoled herself with imagining Bellatrix's face on the flagstones under her as she scrubbed, putting more force into it than was strictly speaking nessisary. Still, she was making headway at least... Providing no other attacks she should be finished in another few minutes.
That was a bit 'if' though with this nutter.

Dean barely moved from the shrug and slid an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close. "I worry about you sometimes, Gin. And forty-eight hours is too long. Not that I'm not happy about it being that long but those Carrows don't ever stop bugging you. And don't smile like that." He said, running his finger gently over her cheek. Rolling her eyes, Ginny reached up to lightly knock his fingers away. "Less of that touching Dean, we're not dating any more," she offered him tartly, though she let the arm remain around her shoulders. "And you can stop worrying - it's sweet, but pointless. I'm fine. I can cope with the nutters, and worrying isn't going to change it anyway. Besides... smile like what?"

Dean looked confused when Ginny pulled him aside, eyes flicking to the privacy ward for a moment. "Discrete? Why? We're in the Gryfindor Common Room." he pointed out. "If we can't trust the people here who can we trust?" He mumbled something about how at least it wasn't in the Great Hall and that he'd been worried about her, his words not really able to be heard. "NOrmally yes, but we have a new transfer over there," she countered jerking her head to the other guy. "He's not been vetted yet... though Remus seems to know him so hopefully that's a good sign." Letting out a breath she studied the boy before her a moment before allowing him a wry smile. Stupid moron... "Why were you worried? It's been a whole... forty eight hours since I last got tortured, I'm doing great," she teased him lightly giving him a light shove in the shoulder.

"This would go a lot faster *Professor* if I could stop my hand bleeding first," she ground out as she continued to work, not in the slightest expecting a rational or fair answer back mind you. Hell would freeze over first.

"Always was," she countered tartly, lips curving up higher as she gave him another poke for good measure, slightly aware of Draco glancing over in their direction and feeling a little pleased at that. "Always was a good idea to bet on me. And less of the Miss, you sound like a House elf, its a little creepy, I'll be honest with you."

Ginny hissed and snatched her bad hand away as the sadist gave it a light kick causing another splatter of red to fall from the deep cut, the cut throbbing out in agony at the blow.
"Yes Professor," she muttered darkly after the pain had died down slightly, shooting the woman another look, even as she clumsily moved to mop up the new blood with her sleeve, wounded hand now pressed to her shoulder to keep it from dripping, though it was still soaking through the fabric as it continued to bleed out.

Ginny grimaced at the less than elegant entrance to the common room, turning from the other boy to watch with mingled fondness and exasperation as Dean stumbled into attenance.
"Sorry, raincheck on this conversation," she offered to the other boy before pushing herself up and moving to take a hold of Dean's arm, pulling him off to the other side of the common room before flicking up a privacy ward.
"For Godric's sake Dean, can't you at least *try* to be discrete?" she grumbled as she released him.

Letting out a low chuckle, Ginny leaned over to deliver a sharp poke to his arm.
"Now by that I hope you mean you always bet on me to win," she warned him, mouth curving up in genuine amusement.

"Yeah that's right," she agreed, warming to the subject a little as she told herself to ignore the Slytherin fool across the room, and how Draco was letting her fawn over him. "Substitute seeker as well, but I prefer to play chaser. What about you two? Any interest in Quidditch?" She cast her eyes to Alex as well, including him in the conversation. "Eh...," the Raven gave a slight shrug of his shoulders in response to Ginny's inquiry. "Quidditch was never really my thing. I mean, I can see how it'd be fun--competitive, the team feel of it, all that, but...yeah, I don't know. Just something about it. Plus," he added with a wink, and giving Alex a slight nudge in the side as he said it, "it's kind of fun sitting on the sidelines and take bets." He turned to offer Professor Sprout his attention, however, when she addressed the class. When everyone else seemed intent on ignoring her, he gave a shrug and addressed her himself, "What sorts of plants?" "You're a gambler?" she asked, tone amused - she was careful to keep her voice down however so as not to seem to rude to the Professor as she waited for her to elaborate on their class today. ANd she definitely was not paying attention to that stupid bulldog and the way she was fawning all over Draco, or how he was letting her flirt with him. Not at all. She didn't even care. Though if Bulstrode *happened* to accidentally get poisoned in the class because she was to busy stroking her Housemate, Ginny would probably be okay with that. Serve the silly bint right.

Ginny glanced over in surprise when Caden elected to shift the attention back towards himself, expression somewhere between greatful and exasperated at his actions.
The boy had no sense of self preservation... but she was glad, Carrow seeming to loose interest in Draco in favour of Alex again. Actually that wasn't much better, damn it all... But the blonde seemed to realise the danger and for once curbed himself as she had been forced to do, unwilling to cause his friend harm.
Ginny's eyes softened a little as she watched the loud, slightly obnoxious boy, seeing in him a great deal of traits that would be more at home in her own house than the quiet studious Ravenclaws. Loud, brash, tendency to charge into danger, desire to protect others... He was a good guy it seemed. Not the brightest, and possibly a masochist, but again, that was a Gryffindor trait to it appeared given her own silly need to speak up earlier. She was begining to understand why it was Alex was friends with him.
She's have to remember to thank the boy later.

Rodolphus studied Ginny for a few moments. "That really shouldn't surprise me." he told her. "Your family hasn't put out anything of worth in a long time. If you plan to make it through this class you will perfect that spell." he told her. "It will end poorly for you if you do not." he concluded his tone held a sinister quality. "I wouldn't have expected any less, Professor," she offered back dryly, privately thinking that this man didn't have a clue. If he did he'd know to be wary of her family - her brothers had already proven themselves to be dangerous in this war. However she wasn't stupid enough to say that out loud and his derision fitted with the image she was going for anyway. Dimly she was aware of Alex out of the corner of her eye shooting the Death Eater evils to his back, the look touching her a little - he really was a good guy... And of the exuberant Caden once again electing to draw a little heat from her by making a scene. SHe had to repress a grimace and slight disapproval as he blew up his mouse to do it, obviously not bothered by the cruetly, however it didn't change the warm feeling (if vaguely exasperated) that she had growing towards the Ravenclaw... Seriously how he wasn't a Gryffindor was a mystery. Ginny waited for the teacher to turn away before casting both boys a greatful look, mouth kicking up slightly in a silent thanks.

"Good girl," Bella cooed, patting her head like you would a dog. "It's so much easier when you just do what you're told. You don't get hurt, I don't have to visit your parents for a little chat... everyone wins, really." Ginny's body instantly stiffened under the madwoman's hand, a vague feeling of panic rising in her as her thoughts flickered instantly to her parents, her hand curling tighter in her sleeve as she continued to scrub, though she forced herself not to ask, swallowing down the words. Bellatrix got off on crap like that... the more she reacted the more it would be drawn out and made worse. Knowing that didn't make it easier to control herself any more.

Ginny's eyes flashed a moment at her words - not quite the fire of before, but still that stubborn loathing, before she slowly bent over, using the ends of her robe sleeve to wipe away at her bloody smears wordlessly. Not like it wasn't already covered in blood anyway from trying to stem her mangled hand, which was currently still cradled to her chest.

Her shrewd gaze flickered to his face at the question as she hitched her shoulder again.
"So far most of what we've been doing is damage control. Getting people ready for when the battle finds us, treating those that get on the wrong side of one of the psychopath's wands, drawing attention to ourselves where we can to protect the younger years that kind of stuff, though we sabotage where we can - particularly if it gets someone off a hook - literally in some cases. But small scale currently."
"We're preparing for bigger though," she added, tone serious. "When the time is right we need to be able to take the school back... We're in touch with the resistance on the outside, liasing with them where we can so they are keeping us as abrest as they can about their end of things. We'll need their help if we can ever pull this off... Until then we're looking at smuggling out some of the more in danger students, but again, we need to know that their families are safe the other end first and the resistance is ready to take them after we get them off the grounds."

A grunt left the redhead as she fell painfully to her knees on the hard stone floor, the action sending a jar of sharp pain through her tender body and forcing her to close her eyes and focus on breathing for a few beats until the worst of it faded.
"Am I to use my wand *Professor*, or a rag like a muggle?" the question was ground out as she finally opened her eyes again, gaze flickering up to the nutters face as she fought to keep her expression vaguely polite.

Ginny leaned back against the soft cushions of the sofa as she considered the question.
"All of us? Very rarely, it's to risky these days for us all to be missing at once," she admitted at last. "Though those of us that can try to arrange some kind of meeting weekly, usually for defence lessons, sometimes just to discuss issues or plans. People present pass on the information to those that couldn't make it. We have a room that usually has someone coming or going in there as well so its a general way to keep contact."

The blow drew a grunt from her, body instinctively curling tighter a moment.
Merlin she hated this woman - loathed her... if there was one person she would gladly watch burn in those miserable witch trials that Alecto Carrow was making them study, it was Bellatrix Lestrange...
Slowly, reluctantly Ginny uncoiled herself, rolling onto her hands and knees as she lifted her head enough to glare at the woman above, brown eyes still dulled with pain, starting to stagger back to her feet with some difficulty.

Groaning, Ginny curled in on herself, body throbbing from the aftermath, only dimly aware of the taunted words that were tossed at her as she waited (hoped) for the other witch to hurry up and leave.
Her nerve ends felt like they were on fire... It was depressing how normal that feeling was becoming lately. Even through the haze of her mind was the knowledge that she needed the woman to go so she could take her pain potion - she had learned from her interactions with the Carrows to always carry one these days.
