Transfiguration Classroom

[Pansy Parkinson]

"The spell won't reverse... I don't understand," Pansy gazed up at him.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"You overpowered the first one." Rodolphus said. "You need to put just as much power into the reversal for it to work."

[Pansy Parkinson]

She sighed deeply and tried again, failing... again.
"D@mn you," she exclaimed and cast another spell, the snake shrienking back and transforming back into the plant.... plant that immediately turned into ashes.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Anger is certainly a way to power spells," Rodolphus began. "But as you can see it is not the best way to do so."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Obviously," Pansy frowned and stepped back, collapsing in a chair, her eyes on the remaining plants.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus shook his head. "You are still lacking focus." He told her.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"I am not," she protested. "I just can't find the right balance when it cones to how powerful the spell is," she explained.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Why is that an issue?" Rodolphus asked. "Powering spells is about focusing on exactly what you want to happen, even more so in transfiguration."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"I hesitate," Pansy said. "What if I over do.it, like now? Or the contrary?" she raised her hands.
"I have to learn to control my emotions..." she murmured and gazed at the floor.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Ahh." Rodolphus said. "Control and use them." He told her. "If you can keep them in check then you can use them more efficiently in spell casting."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"My temper has always been an issue, Professor," the girl admitted. "Anger is not easy to control."

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"No, but it can be easy to focus." Rodolphus replied. "Use that anger to fuel the spell, with Transfiguration it is harder, because you still need to achieve the desired result without going to far."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"My point exactly. I could easily set the room on fire, but I wouldn't be able to put the fire down," she shrugged.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Then what do you think you can do to fix that problem?" He asked.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Set a precise goal and use an equal amount of anger throught the exercise," Pansy nodded to herself.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"That is an idea." Rodolphus agreed. "However what happens if you anger gets away from you?"

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Then the fun is over," the student sighed. "Does that mean I don't know how to have fun?" she wondered aloud.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"No." Rodolphus said. "It means you cant focus and control your anger."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Seems like you need to change the student, Professor," Pansy gazed up at him.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"That attitude is what is holding you back." Rodolophus snapped.

[Pansy Parkinson]

She blinked in surprise at the outburst, unable to formulate a reply.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Magic is as much about belief as it is knowledge." He said. "If you doubt yourself you will never succeed."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"But... I don't doubt my magic, I doubt my emotions," she murmured.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"I never said anything about doubting your magic." Rodolphus said. "I said doubting yourself, which if you believe you cant control your emotions means you doubt yourself."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Which is why you need to find another student who is more capable to comply," she snapped, ears burning and stood, knocking one of the ivy plants on the floor.
"I'm sorry," she murmured as she gathered the plant from the floor with extra care, checking to see if it was damaged.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"You came to me asking for assistance." Rodolphus reminded. "And you will mind your tone, or I shall become displeased with you." he said his wand twirling lazily between his fingers.

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy turned to face her Professor after placing the plant back on the desk.
"Yes, Professor," she said obediently, her eyes on his fingers playing with the wand.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Now I would not waste my time with you, if I did not believe you have the potential to excel at this." Rodolphus told her. "You are perfectly capable of achieving this, you just need to believe in yourself." He added as he stood and moved over to her, leaning down to whisper in her ear. "If you need motivation, think back to our previous private lessons, success means hours of pleasure, failure means the Cruciatus."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"That's blackmail," she dared give a small smile.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Not really." Rodolphus replied. "I am not hanging any of your misdeeds over your head, it is more a threat than blackmail."
