Transfiguration Classroom

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Yes, I'd like to learn that from you," the Slytherin nodded.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus studied her for several moments. "Why?" He finally asked in curiosity more than anything else.

[Pansy Parkinson]

The girl frowned at the question.
"Because you are here to teach us and you just asked me what I would like to learn in your class," she said matter-of-factly.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus shook his head. "I want a real reason, not the expected answer. Why do you want to learn it?"

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Because I want to know how to choke the life out of my opponent in ways they would never expect," she said after a moment of silence, eyes sparkling for a fraction of a second.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"That wasn't so hard was it?" Rodolphus asked in amusement. "It will take a lot of effort on your part, this type of transfiguration isn't covered unless you go for your mastery."

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy rolled her eyes but didn't reply to his first comnent.
"I am ready to work hard," she assured him. She needed to work hard, to get her mind off ofcrecent events.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus nodded. "Good." He said. "We will start small and work our way into larger things."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Yes, Professor," the Slytherin nodded and gazed at him attentively.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"In order to do this type of Transfiguration you need to know how the plant works and how the animal you wish to use works, as well as all the differences between the two." Rodolphus began.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"So I need to look for similarities between the two for the transformation to be successfull. Like choose a cactus to transfigure into a hetchhog?" she inquired.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Yes and no." Rodolphus replied. "If there are similarities it will make things easier , but they items dont require them."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Understood," Pansy nodded. "What do I start with?"

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Well you should start with something small, and likewise transfigure it into something about the same size." Rodolphus explained. "So perhaps a blade of grass to a flobberworm."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Accio grass blades," Pansy raised her wand and extended her hand. A few grass strands made their way through the classroom door and landed gracefully on her palm.
She placed the grass on the table and picked a single blade, that she put aside. Pointing her wand at it, she took in a deep breath and focused, just like she read in that book Lestrange gave her.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus watched her and grinned. "Picture the grass, and keep everything you know about it in your mind. Then do the same with the flobberworm."

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy nodded briefly, closing her eyes as she focused on the grass, the color, the smell, the shape of the string.... she didn't realize that magic was being poured from her wand making the entire classroom floor be covered in green grass.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Stop." Rodolphus said. "You are losing control." He told her and indicated the floor.

[Pansy Parkinson]

Her eyes snapped opened and she made a small sound, then flicked hervwand to undo the spell.
" Bloody ....," she muttered and shook her arms briefly, then straightened herself and restarted.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus looked at her and shook his head. "You need to focus, do not let the magic out of your control."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"It's not that easy when the magic wraps around you, flows through you and makes you want to let go," she murmured before aiming at one of the grass strings and transforming half of it in a flobberworm.
"Not quite," she sighed softly.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"It is easy." Rodolphus replied. "If you c ant control your magic then i wont teach you any more." He told her. "Letting you magic free like that will hurt someone."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Isn't that the point?" she smirked before passing at the next grass string.
She focused harder and transfigured the grass in a worm. She wondered if it happened because she didn't want Rodolphus to stop teaching her.
Shaking the idea off, she gazed at him.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus shook his head. "Are you taking this seriously or is it a joke to you?" He asked her, choosing to ignore her success for the moment.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"I'm taking this very seriously, Professor," she replied.
"I want to learn from you, I wouldn't have asked otherwise."

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Then focus, and do not lose control of your magic." he told her.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Yes, Professor," she nodded and transfigured the next grass string without blinking.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus flicked his wand and summoned the flobberworm. "Much better." he said before canceling the transfiguration. "See what you can accomplish if you focus, and keep control. "Again but do two of them this time."

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Well..." she shrugged and pointed her wand at the grass, thinking two grass strings, two worms for a long moment.
She took in a deep breath and cast, but the two grass strings turned into caterpillars.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Close but not quite." Rodolphus stated before reversing the transfiguration. "Again."
