Care of Magical Creatures Class

[Lucius Malfoy]

How many times would that information need to be repeated? It was like another smack in the face, every time. It was infuriating, just being here.

However, his facade remaining unchanged, Lucius instructed dryly, "Venture a wild guess, Miss Parkinson. Who among present company is the only person here who doesn't happen to be a student?"

[Leanna Barker]

Leanna saw Ginny shifting through the rest of the class, the Raven taking another look and realising that she was the only Gryffindor. "Sure." she muttered, turning her head away, not making eye contact or seeming to be too interested in the girl. She heard Lucius' comments to Pansy and couldn't help the little amused jump in the corner of her mouth.

[Caden McGinnis]

"You're more than welcome," Caden agreed with Leanna, offering the Gryffindor a pleasant smile. "Ginny, right?"

[Ginny Weasley]

"Yeah, that's right," the redhead agreed, smile growing a tad relieved for all Leanna seemed to be more or less ignoring her for reasons unknown. She supposed she should be offended, but at least this guy seemed alright. Lifting a hand the redhead offered it to him, curious eyes on his face. "Sorry I don't know your name."

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy's eyes widened and she gazed at the older blonde in disbelief.
"No... no way in the seven hells," she shook her head at Malfoy Sr.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco watched all of the little groups as they spoke from a nice distance away, he leaned against the fence and looked up at the sky wondering if his Father even actually *knew* anything about Magical Creatures.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Caden," the Raven responded as he accepted Ginny's handshake. "Caden McGinnis. Nice to meet you."

[Ginny Weasley]

"Ginny Weasley," the redhead returned as she shook the Raven's hand, ignoring the lonely blonde figure by the fence that she could see out of the corner of her eye. She couldn't dwell on Draco right now, not while his father and all his Housemates were present. Even if he looked entirely morose in that 'Im a emotionless pureblood' kind of way that he tended to do.

"So," she joked as she let her hands fall, shooting the elder blonde a droll look, though her voice was low enough not to carry over to him. "On a scale of one to ten, whats your expectations for our learning in this class?"

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Well, that's where you're mistaken," Lucius responded to the young Slytherin girl, forcing back the scowl.

[Leanna Barker]

"Negative fifty." Leanna replied softly, knowing the question wasn't aimed at her. She turned her head to meet the redhead's eyes for a moment before looking away again, the slightest curve in her lips. It wasn't that she didn't like the girl, she was just out to save her own skin after all.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"But, Sir... what exactly are *you* supposed to teach us? I mean, a wealthy pureblood wizard, who graduated ages ago and never has been a professor..." Pansy insisted in a low voice, puzzlement clear on her face as she gazed at Draco's father.

[Caden McGinnis]

Caden released a quiet laugh at Ginny's question, and then smirked at Leanna's answer. "Eh, that sounds about right," he agreed. "Honestly, though, I don't mind if we don't end up learning much in here. I'm sure it'll beat most of the other classes."

[Lucius Malfoy]

"That is a perfectly valid concern," Lucius informed the girl dryly. Truth be told, she was quite right, he had no idea what he was supposed to do, what this class was necessarily supposed to entail...and it was such a pathetic excuse for a class, anyway. Good lord, this whole situation was just absurd.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Oh well... We'll see how it ends then," Pansy shrugged, certain that the class should be at least fun given that Draco's father looked lost.

[Alexander Chevalier]

Alex walked down to the class and spotted the group already gathered. He was momentarily surprised by the presence of Draco's father but allowed the assumption that he was probably going to be their new teacher. He supposed it was just as well.

He cast a small smile in Pansy's direction by way of greeting before settling beside his group of Ravenclaws. "Caden," he nodded before sending a smile between each Ginny and Leanna.

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Disappointed?" Lucius arched a brow at the girl, before fixing a stern look in place and narrowing his silver eyes. "Undeniably so, young Bulstrode."

"Aww," Millicent stated with a fake expression of disappointment, "that's too bad." She then looked to Pansy, who had come to stand beside her. "Won't this be fun? Mr. Malfoy being our teacher?"

She looked back and noticed Draco but decided to ignore the presence of the others.

Draco looked at the little groups with an unreadable expression, however internally he just hoped they got this... whatever it was, over with soon.

[Theo Nott]

Theo made his way into the group gathering for the Care of Magical Creatures class. Setting his bag down beside the hut he sat down and looked around.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Alex!" Caden clapped the boy on the back as he joined them. "Nice of you to grace us with your presence."

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy winked at Alex before she turned her aytention to Millicent.
"Definitely," she grinned. "Mr Malfoy is the best," she added.

[Lucius Malfoy]

(Hey Cel, the class is outside. They're just kind of...gathering around Hagrid's Hut )

Lucius had to resist the urge to roll his eyes at Millicent and Pansy's words, sweeping his silver stare across the vicinity and watching the other students slowly making their way to this class. In truth, perhaps he was stalling a little, but damnit, it was nerve wracking, feeling incompetent teaching something like this. Might as well get it over with, though...

"Alright," he addressed the students, "it looks like almost everyone's here. Why don't you all step forward," he drew a makeshift circle in the air with his index finger as he indicated the area in front of him, "and...take a seat," he added a little uncertainly, glancing down at the grass.

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy chuckled and sat on the grass as instructed, gazing up at their teacher.

[Alexander Chevalier]

"Wasn't it nice?" Alex replied to his friend with a small smirk before glancing towards their new instructor as he directed them to sit. It was rather unexpected but...he was actually making a joke of some sort. Dry and somewhat flat as it was. He glanced to the grass before his smirk widened a little and he sat. This class wasn't going to be bad at all.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco looked at the ground with disdain and then back at his Father as if going 'Really?', however loath to embarrass the man any more than he (obviously) had to be he just sighed, did a quick transfiguration on a rock to turn it into some type of cushion and took a seat at the very back of the circle area indicated.

[Leanna Barker]

Leanna sat down slowly, stretching her legs out in front of her as she leaned back on one hand. The raven had no problem sitting on the ground. She did so all the time at home. Besides, the grass was lovely and soft and had that fresh grass smell that she so loved.

Her head turned as she looked over the rest of the class, pausing on Draco ro look at his rock-turned-cushion.

[Draco Malfoy]

The blond boy noticed her look and quirked a brow in question.

[Theo Nott]

(Yeah my brain wasnt quite functioning when I posted that one.)

Theo shifted to allow his gaze to focus on Malfoy Sr. as he waited for the class to begin. He was curious how the class was going to be taught, it didnt seem that Lucius had the same reasons for being here as the other professors.

[Leanna Barker]

Leanna made a small gesture to his rock. 'Nice rock' she mouthed to him, her gaze continuing on to look over the rest of the class. She wasn't going to be the one caught for talking while the teacher was talking. She'd be nice and quiet.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Definitely," Caden replied to his housemate, before assuming a seat on the ground beside him, as instructed. Even though their professor did look kind of lost, this still seemed pretty pleasant. Sort of relaxing, even. Especially considering.

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent took a seat beside Pansy, legs curled comfortable beneath her as she gazed up at the dashing, older Malfoy. She nodded, "yes, he is the best."
