Alex and Ginny

[Ginny Weasley]

"Good," she nodded, heading back over to pass him a cup as she took a sip from hers, considering him over the brim. "Friends are what will keep you sane in this war. And your group just got a hell of a lot bigger."

[Alexander Chevalier]

Alex took a sip from his own cup before nodding, "yeah, it's a comforting thought. I think being united is just about the most important factor right now. The more people you have who will defend and support you, the better."

[Ginny Weasley]

"Exactly," Ginny agreed, quirking him a small smile. "And with that in mind, the sooner we can introduce you to the others the better."

[Alexander Chevalier]

"Anytime works for me," Alex responded as he returned her smile.

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny flashed him a smile as she nodded her head.

"Alright, I'll talk to them then, see when everyone is avaliable, in the mean time you sound out Caden, we'll see how it all works out."

Alex walked into the room before pausing and glancing back to the boy following him. His discussion with Caden and the subsequent meeting with Ginny had happened a great deal more swiftly than his own initiation. His friend was so much more sure of himself. Again, he marveled at Ginny's ability to completely trust him with this. It instilled an incredible and unprecedented feeling. It inspired him to do all he could not to let her down.

Ginny glanced up at the sound of the door, her mouth quirking up at the expected sight of Alex with his friend in toe.

"Alex, hey," she greeted him, pushing herself up from her position on the couch, her eyes flicking past him to the other Raven. "And Caden, glad you could make it."

"Hey, Ginny," Alex glanced over and nodded in greeting to the girl before offering a small smile.

[Caden McGinnis]

A grin spread across Caden's face, and he raised two fingers to offer the Gryffindor a quick salute. "Hey there, Miss Ginny," he returned. "Somehow, I had a feeling you'd be mixed up in all this."

[Ginny Weasley]

"McIdiot," she returned arms folding under her breasts as she shot the boy a droll look. "And not to deminish your powers of deduction, but really a blind pigmypuff could have seen this one coming."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Yeah, that might have a lil' something to do with your lack of subtlety," Caden pointed out with a wink, before rushing forward and vaulting over the back of nearby chair, where he proceeded to lean back in an easy recline and fix his smile on the girl. "'Course, can't say that'd lead me to think you'd be at the head of it all, but," here, he shrugged, "it does make sense. Being the younger sibling of a Golden Trio member and all. So...shall we get on with it?"

Alex simply observed the pair in amusement for a moment before making his way across the room and smirking down at his friend. He looked to Ginny, "needless to say, he's very excited about this."

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny's look turned a bit dryer at Caden's explanation. Aaand there it was. It always came back to that in the end. Either her being a sibling of Ron or Harry's ex. Heaven forbid anyone actually think she'd earn her position through her own hard work or merit.

Offering the boys a wan tilt of her lips, the redhead gestured for Alex to take a seat and join them.

"Is he ever not?" she returned, rhetorically before her gaze shifted back to Caden. "Fine by me. How about you fill me in on what you already know and we go from there?"

Alex sat but observed Ginny's expression. Something about it seemed to shift, subtly but still noticeably. He briefly wondered what was bothering her as he also looked to Caden.

Caden arched a curious brow at Ginny's slight change in demeanor, but he decided not to comment on it. It was something he had said, though...maybe because he hadn't jumped to the conclusion she'd be the leader? Eh, who really knew? No point in stressing over it, she'd probably get over it.

"Okay," he nodded, leaning forward and rubbing his hands together. "Well...can't say I know much. Alex here only filled me in on the bare minimum. Said you're a group of people, working as a resistance to the Death Eaters, to make a stand and do something 'bout 'em. And, that you need to make some sort of magical binding to secrecy or whatever. And...yeah, that's it."

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny gave a slow nod as she considered his words.

"That's pretty much it in a nut shell," she agreed. "There's only so much we can tell you until you sign the contract to ensure your silence, but I can try and answer a few more questions first if you'd like?"

[Caden McGinnis]

"No, that's alright," Caden assured her. "Might as well get on with this. You can be as open as you want with me afterwards, right?"
