Alex entered the room, once again grateful for the opportunity for escape in a place where he wouldn't be easily discovered. Making his way towards the couch, he sat and absently tapped his fingers as he awaited Ginny's arrival.

Only a few minutes had ticked by until the door opened again, the redhead in question slipping into the room and closing it firmly behind her, her brown eyes settling onto the Ravenclaw boy and offering him a small smile in greeting.
"Alex, hey. Thanks for coming."

Alex glanced over before nodding and returning the smile, "no problem." He wondered if the girl had spoken with the rest of the group and what their consensus might've been.

"Would you like something to drink?" she offered, gesturing to the small kitchenette area to one side. "Cup of tea?"

'Sure," he responded with a small nod, before standing and making his way over to the indicated area. "I can get it though, if you'd like."

"I dunno... does a rich boy like you even know how to make tea?" the redhead threw back, tone teasing as she shot him an amused look, moving to join him in the drinks area.

Ginny flashed him an impish grin before tisking and shaking her head as she moved to put the kettle on the boil.
"Nah, you Ravens are all talk. I'm sure you could write a lovely paper on tea making, but when it comes to the execution... total let down," she teased him back, glancing over her shoulder. "You need a Gryff to do the hard work."

"Hm..." Alex replied as he observed the stubborn redhead. It was nice to see this side of her, the side he had only glimpsed while in the corridor. She was playful and exceptionally witty. "Perhaps you're right," he conceded. "I should probably thank you for preventing me from making a complete fool of myself."

She gave him a wink as she lifted the now bubbling kettle to pour the water into the teapot she had already measured out the leaves into.
"You should. It was very kind of me - I'm great like that," the Gryffindor joked before gesturing with her hand. "Do me a favour and grab the milk will you?"

"Sure," he responded before doing as she instructed and grabbing the milk. He handed it to her with a small smile, "thank you." The tea smelled great, the fresh herbal scent wafting towards him as it began to steep.

NOdding her thanks, Ginny added a small splash to each cup before checking the pot and giving it a quick stir up before placing a strainer over the first cup and pouring, repeating the same with the second.
"Here," she said at last, placing the pot under its cozy and handing him a cup as she picked up hers. "If you want sugar you'll have to add it."

"I don't usually prefer it," he replied after receiving his cup. Carefully taking a small sip as the steam rose, he smiled. "This is very good. It was definitely the right decision to leave it to you."

"Yes well, if nothing else I'll have 'could make a mean cup of tea' on my grave stone," she returned drolly, before jerking her head towards the couch. "Come one, lets sit down. I suppose we've got things we ought to discuss."

"So," she offered as she sank into the comfortable cushions of the sofa, legs crossing and pausing to sip on her steaming cup, shrewd eyes on the boy before her. "Thought any more on what we spoke about last time?"

Alex nodded as he took a moment to consider the occurrence between Caden and Alecto in the Great Hall. Something needed to be done about their acts of tyranny, he was more assured of that now than ever.
"I definitely want to help," he replied, looking to her. "In any way I can."

"I am willing," Alex stated, entirely seeing the sense in taking such severe measures. It was about life or death. Trust had to be completely assured.

Her eyes flickered carefully over his face.
"Just like that, you've no questions first?" she offered him carefully. Honestly she trusted the boy's motives - she wouldn't be here if she didn't. He came across as genuine and Neville seemed to think highly of him, as did the other DA members that knew him, but she had to be fair and make sure he had all the chances to back out or get more informaiton before he really wound up in over his head.

"From what I understand," Alex responded, assessing her guarded look, "is that you are part of some...organization which is secretly taking a stand of some sort against these Death Eaters. You are a group of people who are seeking to somehow handle this situation. You want to fight back."
He smiled, "I of course have questions as to the specifics but, in regard to committing to what you essentially stand for, I have no reservations whatsoever. We are all at risk," he shrugged, "might as well take the risk that's actually worth taking."

Ginny's mouth quirked up as she considered the boy before her, gaze running closely over his features. He was different than Harry - he lacked his fire and passion, the hot headed charging into danger nature that made him such a Gryffindor, however there was something about that unwavering belief in his eyes, that quiet confidence in himself and what was right that brought to mind her green eyed so strongly that it made her heart pang - something that it had not done for a while. Then again between the DA and Dracoto distract her she had not much time to think these days... Then again, perhaps that was the point. There was still too much raw emotion there -probably moreso now it was confused with her strange new relationship with the blonde Slytherin.
Pushing aside thoughts of her ex for now (it was hardly the time for introspection, however overdue) Ginny pulled her mind back to the task.
"Trust a Raven to speak so elegantly," she chuckled shaking her head before meeting his eyes. "Then if you're certain you're happy to sign we can do that now and I can answer any questions you have after. The contract is magically binding, but only to the extent of protecting our secrets, if after you're not happy with what we offer you're still free to walk away so long as you stay quiet."

Alex watched the small smile that took Ginny's face in reaction his reply before witnessing something fleeting behind those guarded eyes of hers. He ventured the guess that there was a great deal she was suppressing. Her eyes were assessing him once again and he couldn't help but feel that familiar vulnerabilty in reaction to her scrutiny.
He offered her a nod, "that's fair. I'm ready when you are."

Nodding her head one last time, Ginny moved to her pocket, pulling from it a small roll of parchment, though as she flicked it open it appeared to be much longer than it at first seemed, the top headed Dumbledore's Army and the rest covered in signatures, though to Alex's eyes they were blurry and unreadable.
Smoothing it out on the table, Ginny proffered him a quill - provided by the room and some ink.
"Just sign at the bottom and then we can really get started."

Alex took the quill and looked to the parchment before him, the heading standing out to him and compelling his loyalty. The signatures beneath were blurred but it was comforting to know that there were others who were willing to put their lives on the line for this cause. He inhaled deeply before leaning forward and signing his name alongside the rest of them, joining their ranks and once again feeling part of something greater.
He smiled and looked to Ginny, handing the quill back to her. He was admittedly a little excited about this and was grateful to her for offering him the opportunity. "Thank you," he voiced aloud. "For reaching out to me like this."

The parchment shimmered a moment as it absorbed his signature before the others suddenly jumped into clarity around his, adding Alex's name to their number.
Ginny looked up with a genuine smile at his words, eyes flickering over him a moment before she grinned - looking in that instance very like her twin brothers, reaching out to clap the Ravenclaw on the shoulder.
"Thank you for proving my instincts right, it's good to have you with us Alex," she returned honestly, reaching out for the parchment to reroll it. "So I guess now is the Qand A part. Feel free, I can be honest with you now."

Alex observed the shift in the girl's demeanor, her face taking on a much more open and exuberant nature. He felt the pressure of her clap on his shoulder and felt instantly comforted by it. He definitely felt as if he belonged here. It was the right place to be.
"Alright," he nodded, thinking for a moment. "Do you have a designated leader?" He wondered if it was her.

"Me and Nev I guess," she shrugged, falling back into place next to him on the sofa as she restowed the parchment into her pocket. "But its pretty unofficial. We mostly go by a vote system he and I just organise it."
