[Caden McGinnis]

"Ooh, correctin' for emphasis," Caden noted. "Looks like you've got a point to prove. What'll it be, Miss Milly?"

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"My point?" Millicent shrugged, "just that there are lots of other things out there that are just as important as fun."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Anything specific on your mind?" the Ravenclaw questioned.

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Hm..." Millicent deliberated, "Well, I personally think that love is also very important. It causes so much drama, which is important too, in my opinion."

[Theo Nott]

Theo slipped into the room, and settled himself towards the back of the class.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Love and drama, eh?" Caden asked with a slight laugh. "Yeah...," he gave an easy nod. "I s'pose I can see the appeal in that. Love's pretty universal, and drama can be pretty fun to watch."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Exactly," Millicent replied, always pleased when someone could see things her way. "And what about you?" She asked with a small tilt of her head. "Anything else you find important?"

[Caden McGinnis]

"Oh, for sure," Caden answered. "Bonds. They're everything, as far as I'm concerned."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Ooh," Millicent's eyes gleamed a bit then at his response. "That's a good one. Friendship," she nodded. "it definitely has to come before anything else. It would be so lonely without the people we care about."

[Caden McGinnis]

"It definitely would," the Raven nodded in agreement. "I mean...is life even worth living without those people? It's just sort of a...selfish, meaningless existence, otherwise. You gotta branch out, make connections."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Oh yes," Millicent replied, completely agreeing before tilting her head with a sigh. "Which is why these teachers confuse me a little bit, making students torture each other. I don't know, I mean, isn't that counter-productive? If you want followers, why make yourself out to be the enemy? I'd much rather have people genuinely like and appreciate me."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Yeah...their way of going about it is definitely warped," Caden mused, and he allowed a faint chuckle. "But, hey, in case you haven't noticed, most of 'em aren't exactly right in the head. Hard to really hold it against the crazies, they don't really know what they're doin'."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent laughed at that as well, "so true. Guess the DL guy kinda knew what he was doing when he recruited them. It's a smart way to go."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Smart, maybe...or just plain stupid," Caden shrugged his shoulders. "I mean, goin' back to the whole thing you were just sayin', how much is loyalty really worth if it isn't genuine? Force and intimidation can only go so far. Charisma, though...now that's a skill."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Mhm," Millicent nodded her agreement. "Charisma's great. The power of words," she smirked. "It's so useful." She then shrugged, "but, yeah, that's true. But they are crazy. I don't know if they'd exactly betray him all that easily."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Or, because they're crazy, who can say?" Caden countered. "Adds a very unstable factor."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Guess so," Millicent shrugged. "It's a fifty-fifty thing."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Exactly," Caden nodded. "So, y'see? It's a much safer bet to just gather some good ole' sane blokes, ones who share your ideals and all that sh!t, and whose loyalty you can really depend on."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Yep, it's definitely better," Millicent responded. "But some people just have to make do, I guess."

[Caden McGinnis]

The Ravenclaw boy couldn't help the smirk that formed on his mouth when Millicent spoke those words. In essence, she was saying that the Dark Lord was the sort who had to make do. He leaned in close to the girl, resting his mouth just beside her ear, before he whispered calmly, "Careful, snake. You better watch your tongue. Those prowling Death Eater's definitely wouldn't be happy to hear you say that."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent smirked as well before turning her head slightly to whisper to him in turn, "no, probably not. But you won't ever find me bowing down to a half-blood who pretends to be something else."

[Caden McGinnis]

That was such a...refreshingly different viewpoint than he had yet heard. Though it was still warped, carrying that muggle prejudice, it eliminated the hypocrisy factor. He couldn't help but admire her a little for that. She was very independent, this girl.

"You know...I'm gonna hold you to that," Caden told her, leaning back to cast her a wink.

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"I won't disappoint," Millicent responded before winking. "Promise."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Goodie," Caden nodded, reclining in the seat and crossing his arms over his chest. "You know," he stared at her, smiling, "I kinda like you, girlie."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Hm..." Millicent scrutinized him, running her eyes across his form. "I suppose I might be growing a little fond of you too, guy."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Oh yeah?" Caden put on a cocky smile at that. "I think I like that, too."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent chuckled, "Well, duh. I mean, because you kinda like me and I sort of return that, it makes sense that you'd like that. No one really appreciates one-sided affairs."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Hm...I dunno, there is the whole thrill of the chase or whatever some people get," Caden gave a shrug.

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Yeah, but," Millicent waved it off, "they still secretly want their affection returned."

[Caden McGinnis]

"S'pose that's true," the Ravenclaw allowed. "It is their endgame, after all."
