[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent entered the classroom with a bounce in her step before frowning when she saw it was empty. That was lame. No one to talk to. Dragging her feet a little, she moved to a desk somewhere in the middle of the class and sat.

Absently combing her fingers through her hair, she glanced to the door and waited for someone interesting to enter.

[Caden McGinnis]

As if on cue, Caden came meandering in, taking a light skip as he did so, and using his leg that was now in the air to kick the door shut behind him. As he straightened, his pastel gaze wandered over the empty classroom, before resting on the only occupant. Ole' ghosty professor wasn't even here yet. Odd.

"Slow day, huh?" he mused in greeting, taking it upon himself to assume the desk beside said occupant, where he sat upon the desk and rested his feet on the seat.

Having watched the her strange classmates rather unique entrance, Millicent tilted her head and raised a brow. Well, someone had definitely granted her wish. This guy seemed interesting. She'd seen him around but never really took the time to go out of her way to speak with him. She knew he was in Ravenclaw and that he was pureblood. It was definitely safe to socialize with him.

"I've been bored out of my mind," she told him with a roll of her eyes.

"Slow days always do seem to be like that," Caden nodded decisively, taking on a very matter-of-fact expression to emphasize his point. "It's the tedious boredom of it all that makes them so much slower, I think."

Resting his elbows on his knees and folding his hands together in a business-like manner, he focused on her entirely and furrowed his brow in all seriousness as he asked, "What are your thoughts on the matter, Miss Bulstrode?"

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent smirked in response to the boy's odd gesture and choice of words, the furrowed brows serving to be extremely comical. She leaned towards him and adopted a similar expression, voice deepening a fraction to imitate his. "I think you're right. Slowness and boredom go hand in hand."

She chuckled then, unable to keep up the ridiculous face for too long. This boy was weird.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Why are you laughing?" Caden questioned, in a rebuking tone, never once dropping the charade. "This is a serious matter."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent couldn't help but laugh once more before trying to compose herself, a smile failing to remove itself. "You're right," she clicked her tongue and shook her head, "I'm so sorry for my offense."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Good, that's very good," Caden assured her with a nod of his head. "I will forgive you."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Tch, thanks" The girl rolled her eyes then before tilting her head, the amusement dissipating only a little. "So, Raven, do you often go around and speak to people in such a...directly serious manner?"

[Caden McGinnis]

"Only when it's a directly serious matter," the boy replied simply, letting the act slip for a moment to cast her a wink, but he immediately put it back up. "Which...this is."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Oh, I see," Millicent responded with an exaggerated nod. "That makes sooo much sense."

Unlike most of the other students who were moping around the school, this guy actually seemed like a fun person to talk to. Even all of her Slytherin friends were busy concerning themselves with the Death Eaters' presence. To her it made no difference whatsoever. This Ravenclaw guy didn't seem too bothered by it either. He was actually smiling and making jokes. It was a nice change.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Yes," Caden stated, taking a strange and forceful accent as he said it. "Of course. Now then, to the actual topic, slowness and boredom...you're right. They do walk hand...," here, he took one hand and held it up, before clasping it very dramatically with his other hand, "in hand. The two have a certain...connection." He indicated his linked hands as he said the word.

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent quirked a brow and smirked, "exactly. A connection." His demonstration was becoming more and more amusing. "I'm so glad we were able to come to this profound conclusion."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Yes, as am I," he nodded very meaningfully. "The profound ones are perhaps the most difficult, but also the most rewarding. It's right we should be proud of our accomplishment here today."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Oh, definitely," Millicent agreed. "I think it's always important to feel proud of our accomplishments. I certainly do."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Good, that's very good," Caden nodded emphatically, waving his linked hands as he did so, before he accidentally banged the side of his hand against his knee. He winced, but remained in the same strange voice, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! That...hurts!" He lifted the hand to Millicent and instructed, his tone very forceful and his stare intense, "Kiss it."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Both of Millicent's brows raised in response, her eyes falling to the indicated hand. She doubted that he'd actually hurt himself. It was most likely part of the act. If not...well, he was a serious wimp. That didn't seem very fitting though.

"Very well," the girl responded before lifting two fingers to her lips and them placing them against his hand, "all better?"

[Caden McGinnis]

"Oh my god...yes," he said through a long, drawn-out sigh. A smile making its way to his face, he released a rather retarded-sounding laugh and told her, "Thank you, Milli-cent."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

Millicent tilted her head and furrowed her brows, somewhat surprised by the strangeness of the boy's laugh. It had been a little unexpected. "No problem..." she thought hard but couldn't quite put a name to his face. "Uhm...Collin?" That sounded...sort of right.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Uhh?" Caden stopped short, his furrowed brow lifting momentarily in astonishment. Dropping character altogether, he adopted his usual relaxed expression and then offered his hand. "Nope," he told her with a smirk. "Sorry, lady. Caden. Caden McGinnis. But hey, s'pose I should give you points for knowing it started with a 'C', huh?"

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Ah!" She snapped her fingers before placing her small hand in his, "that's right. Caden. I was close. You'll definitely have to give me those points, sir."

[Caden McGinnis]

"Then, I shall!" Caden assured her, an amused smile forming at how small her hand was sitting in his. And yet it was a strangely firm grip. "Let's see...that's worth at least 5 points, I'd say. Let's make it unique and call it 7, though. 7 points to Slytherin."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Ooh," Millicent replied, "you're spoiling me a little bit. You have some catching up to do if you expect to keep up with me."

[Caden McGinnis]

Caden heaved a melodramatic sigh, lowering his head in dejection. "Damn, you're right. This is going to be hard."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"Don't tell me you aren't up for the challenge, Raven," Millicent quirked a brow, a tiny smirk forming.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Well, since you put it like that...," Caden lifted his gaze with a smirk. "I'll just have to take you up on that challenge, lil' lady."

[Millicent Bulstrode]

"This already sounds like it could get fun," Millicent replied.

[Caden McGinnis]

"Well, of course it will be," Caden stated with a nonchalant wave of his hand. "And fun's just about one of the most important things to keep alive, I say."

"Yeah," Millicent mused with a tilt of her head, "one of the most."
