[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Well it would be an effective tactic." Rodolphus said. "Though I suppose keeping them alive would help too, mostly for the amusement of the rest of us."

[Alecto Carrow]

"Well the best place to recruit is, of course Slytherin house. After that we can have them bring in purbloods from other houses..." Alecto commented, allowing herself to be serious for a moment.

[Amycus Carrow]

"Half and half," Amycus suggested with a smirk. "Cull off half of the failures, use the other half as target practice for the following year. Even Snape couldn't dissagree with that - he'd have his own test dummies for his precious potions."

As the conversation turned more serious, Amycus considered his sister's words a minute before letting out a low chuckle, eyes glinting with sinister promise.

"I want to recruit from Gryffindor - see who's got enough stones and enough idiocy to step forwards..."

[Alecto Carrow]

His sister tisked "Now, now Amycus. You know any Gryffindors who join are most likely cowards. I mean.. look at Wormtail? And those who say no you would just use as an excuse to hex. We need to focus, you'll get plenty of chances to play with the lions. However, what we need to do now is prove our usefulness to the Dark Lord. The best way we can do that is by building him a small skilled army of young soldiers."

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy gazed between them with a small smirk.
"It looks like we'll have a brilliant term," she dared to comment, crossing her arms under her chest.

[Alecto Carrow]

Alecto rose a brow "Really? You think so? ...And why is that?"

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"I agree with Alecto." Rodolphus commented. "The lions will try something anyways, we should use them as examples." He added before turning to Pansy, he was interested in her reply.

[Amycus Carrow]

Amycus pulled a face before waving his hand.

"Fine fine, you have your point. We'll whip the ones that actually have potential up to shape before we mess with the morons, although I don't see why we can't do both - it could be a nice little challange for the snakes. Weeding out any of the golden fools that try to pull something and training the cowards how to lick heels as good little pets."

Admittedly it hadn't been what he had been thinking when he said it, but since that was off the table he supposed he may as well consider alternatives. Whipping the snakes up to scratch would be entertaining enough he supposed, particularly if he found anyone with real potential to mentor. Just think, they could create little mini-thems! Now that WOULD be cute...

As the student pipped up again - honestly he had all but forgotten she was still here, Amycus raised an eyebrow, head turning to glance over at her.

[Pansy Parkinson]

"Well for one the Gryffindorks won't get away with everything AND win the House Cup, now that Dumbledore isn't here to protect them. And with you here," she added, gesturing a circle towards the Professors, "we'll finally learn interesting things," she finished with a smile.

[Alecto Carrow]

Alecto looked at Parkinson, then at the other two adults "Are *all* Slytheirns insufferable kiss-asses? Or have we just been lucky?" the woman asked dryly.

[Amycus Carrow]

"I'm willing to bet most of them are," Amycus offered as he eyed the girl with amused consideration. "Tell me... Parkinson, was it? What precisely you think will be so interesting, hmmm?"

Really the question was asked for shits and giggles more than anything, waiting to hear her puppy like response. Her and Nott were two of a kind.

Pansy ignored the comments of the woman, her eyes on the male Carrow and Mr Lestrange.
"The Dark Arts, of course, Professor" she replied. "We will have the opportunity to learn new spells and it is another approach on magic compared to what we've learned so far. That is the interesting part," she added with a shrug.

[Alecto Carrow]

Alecto wasn't surprised when the girl ignored her, if anything she was amused. After all, she was quite sure she didn't have the equipment required to get the girls attention anyway...

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus tilted his head as he listened to Pansy speak. "You actually care about the house cup?" he asked in mild amusement that point of her comments sticking out to him the most. "There are only a few with the potential to cast the Dark Arts successfully, and we shall see who those few are as classes continue." he added before turning to glance at Alecto.

"Who else have you run in to that is a kiss-ass?" he asked in curiosity.

"Nott, Theodore- though I see potential in him so… we'll see…" she said thoughtfully. "I have a project I've assigned him to. So…" Alecto gave Rudlophus a sweet smile but did not comment further.

[Pansy Parkinson]

Pansy gazed at Miss Carrow briefly, before turning her attention back to Mr Lestrange.
"Yes I do care about the House Cup when it's snatched from Slytherin simply because the Headmaster grants points in the last seconds of the term just for fun," she muttered heatedly.

[Alecto Carrow]

Alecto snorted a laugh and shook her head. Kids...

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Oh that should be entertaining." Rodolphus commented. "Are you going to give me a hint, or am I going to have to figure it out on my own?"

[Alecto Carrow]

"With all of those options, who knows," Alecto teased with a smile.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Tease." Rodolphus said with a chuckle.

[Alecto Carrow]

"One of my better traits…" Alecto said with a wink.

[Amycus Carrow]

"And do you think you'll be any *good* at Dark Arts, Parkinson?" Amycus purred, though his gaze was mocking. "Do you think you have what it takes to really master them? I have little interest in the mediocre."

At her comment about the House Cup of all things, the man let out a scoff, leaning back in his seat and shooting her a belittling smirk.

"I'll take that as a no," he chuckled, shaking his head and wrinkling his nose in disbelief. Seriously... a school cup was her priority? "Run back to your playpen, kitten," he murmured dismissively, waving a hand. "This room is no place for you. I don't have time for juvenille fantasies or those that lack drive."

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

Rodolphus chuckled at Alecto's comment and nodded. "It certainly served you well in the past." he agreed, before turning his gaze once more to Pansy and Amycus. He watched their conversation for a moment amusement and malice flickering in his eyes. He agreed with Amycus's statements and thought that Pansy would need to grow up a bit before entering this room again.

"Certainly Professor, you know best," Pansy smiled as if he told her the sky was blue and walked towards the door.
"Consider though that I am a Slytherin besides being a woman," she sing-sang as she closed the door behind herself.

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Was that last bit supposed to make any sense?" Rodolphus asked the other two.

[Alecto Carrow]

"Having met her, I doubt it," Alecto said dryly. "If I ever act like that, cruccio some sense into me."

[Rodolphus Lestrange]

"Are you giving me permission?" Rodolphus asked with a raised eyebrow.

[Alecto Carrow]

"Yes," Alecto responded "If I act like that, I give you permission."

[Amycus Carrow]

Tilting his head as the door closed, Amycus debated with himself a moment, trying to decide if the brat amused him after all... or just needed a nice crucio to teach her some respect.

Then again, the two weren't exactly mutually exclusive.

Shrugging it off at last, the pale man decided to comprimise by targeting her in class to see how she did. And perhaps a few curses in the hallways too for that respect thing. Hmmm... he bet she had a scrumptious scream...

"I'd have already done it before he was finished deliberating with himself," he offered back to his companions pleasantly, shooting Dolph a dry look. "But as they say, dearest Roddy, tis the thought that counts."

"I was just making certain." Rodolphus replied. "I dont exactly desire being on the wrong end of your sisters wand Amycus." he added. "I have seen what happens to the people who are."
