"Yes, Professor," she nodded and transfigured the next grass string without blinking.

"I'm taking this very seriously, Professor," she replied. "I want to learn from you, I wouldn't have asked otherwise."

"Isn't that the point?" she smirked before passing at the next grass string. She focused harder and transfigured the grass in a worm. She wondered if it happened because she didn't want Rodolphus to stop teaching her. Shaking the idea off, she gazed at him.

"It's not that easy when the magic wraps around you, flows through you and makes you want to let go," she murmured before aiming at one of the grass strings and transforming half of it in a flobberworm. "Not quite," she sighed softly.

"But it is the best solution. They won't listen anyway, and if they want to close the deal, they will regardless of my feelings about it," Pansy said.

Her eyes snapped opened and she made a small sound, then flicked hervwand to undo the spell. " Bloody ....," she muttered and shook her arms briefly, then straightened herself and restarted.

Pansy kept quiet for a long moment, letting her tears dry on their own. She lifted herself in a sitting position, hair covering her face. "So you're saying I should drop it and see where that takes us?" she asked.

Pansy nodded briefly, closing her eyes as she focused on the grass, the color, the smell, the shape of the string.... she didn't realize that magic was being poured from her wand making the entire classroom floor be covered in green grass.

"Accio grass blades," Pansy raised her wand and extended her hand. A few grass strands made their way through the classroom door and landed gracefully on her palm. She placed the grass on the table and picked a single blade, that she put aside. Pointing her wand at it, she took in a deep breath and focused, just like she read in that book Lestrange gave her.

Pansy paused and blinked a few times. "You're right... no need to get all worked up about it," she murmured and turned around, laying her head on the pillow and gazing at the window.

She turned her head to gaze at him, doubt and surprise in his eyes. "You did read my mother's advice to me right? She said I should stop acting like a slut... Do you want to marry a slut? Do you want to fall in love with me?" she huffed. "As to why I am upset... You just accept it, like you would accept any other arrangement made regarding that subject. I'm sorry if I can't feel too flattered for being the one you settle with just because your parents decided so," she added, her voice a bit strangled with emotion.

"Theo, I'm not saying it would be a burden to marry you," she frowned and gazed at him. "The point is they are deciding to get us married before we even learn what love is. They are deciding... not us, and that's what's bothering me. Just as they are deciding about us joining the ranks," she whispered and gazed down at her hands, that heavy weight she felt lately pressing on her chest yet again.

"The simple fact that it's an arrangement between our parents and not our decision, don't you think so?" she asked him. "Maybe you love someone, maybe you want some other girl to share your life with and have kids with... I don't know," she sighed deeply and shook her head.

The girl frowned at the question. "Because you are here to teach us and you just asked me what I would like to learn in your class," she said matter-of-factly.

Red as a tomato, Pansy summoned a parchment from her schoolbag. She stood and approached Theo, giving it to him. "My mother wrote me that our fathers are discussing it," she murmured.
