[Draco Malfoy]

"Hopefully," Draco agreed, but he doubted it. He noticed the look and rose a curious brow. Oh really? ... Well... that was interesting. Personally he saw Daphne as more of a little sister than anything since she was so sweet... but... he could see it.

In fact he wanted to ask Blaise about it. But since his preoccupations of last year, the two had grown further and further apart.

"One can only hope,"Blaise comments turning his eyes to Draco.

Blaise studies his friend thoughtfully for a moment. Draco seemed more drawn then even last year. They used to be close, maybe things could change, not exactly go back the way they were but close. Draco looked as if he had not been sleeping well, Blaise was curious about this but knew better then to call him out on it-here at least.

"Anyway, you asked me but I didn't ask you. How was your summer?" Draco asked looking at his mate.

[Saka (M.H.)]

"The short version is that it was summer," Blaise comments ideally and with a slight almost unnoticed flip of his wrist. "The long version is that it was tedious and boring. Mother decided to loan the help out." Blaise rolls his eyes at the thought of exactly why she had loaned them out.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco nodded "So you guys didn't go anywhere?"

"Italy, to the villa there," Blaise replies with a shrug, "It was entertaining. Remember how Mother is."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Yes I do..." Draco remarked with a smirk. "Though to be fair she's a lot more... entertaining, than my Mother."

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Please, Draco, this is my mother we are talking about and you are a little young," Blaise says with a shudder. "Plus she is busy at the moment."

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco actually laughed a bit "Don't worry, I have no designs on your Mum. I may be a teenager but I'm not *that* hard up."

[Saka (M.H.)]

"True," Blaise comments with a smile. "Besides there are many delightful girls here to choose from.If we get the time to partake in that in that activity, though you are never lacking in witches throwing themselves at you." Blaise stands from his chair and moves closer to Draco before sinking into the chair next to him.

The blond boy almost snorted "I do believe that option has slowed in recent weeks... though there's always Pansy."

He shot the girl in question a smirk.

[Daphne Greengrass]

DAphne glared half heartedly at Draco when he ruffled her hair "Not my hair Draco you know that otherwise I'll reciprocate." she added with a smirk ruffling his hair as well. But at least he lifted her mood a little then she gave a smile to Blaise and after that she tried to fix her hair again.

"You mean you actually combed it?" the blond teased with a smirk. "I thought you just stuck it out a window during a particularly strong gust of wind..."

Blaise silently nods his head as he watches Draco and Daphne and their easy interaction with each other.

[Daphne Greengrass]

"That's not fair, you know I comb my hair." she huffed and then smirked back "But not everyone need tons of gel to fix their hair."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Excuse you? I only use the barest hint, my hair is just wonderfully tamed," he replied dryly.

[Daphne Greengrass]

"You wish." she teased and then rested her head on his shoulder.

[Draco Malfoy]

"I know, don't be mad at perfection dear, just aspire to it," Draco drawled in a bored tone, though he was still teasing. He shot Blaise a look when she rested her head on him, as if teasing the boy on if he wanted to switch.

DAphne rolled her eyes "YOu're so full of yourself Draco." she said fondness evident in her voice.

[Draco Malfoy]

"There are worse things to be full of," Draco responded with a smirk.

[Daphne Greengrass]

Daphne chuckled and shook her head "So true." she added.

[Saka (M.H.)]

"I think both of you strive for protection,"Blaise says with a slight tilt in his voice and shake of his head. He was completely fine sitting where he was even if he wanted to sit where Draco was. The problem with that would be the temptation to actually sit closer then what was acceptable.

"I don't strive, I am," Draco offered pleasantly for once relaxing like he use to.

"The embodiment of it,"Blaise shots back leaning forward in his chair his hands clasped between his knees. "You must instruct men on the fine art sometime."

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco inclined his head regally "Of course dear chap."

[Daphne Greengrass]

Daphne just listened to them letting herself relax a little this nearly seemed like old times.

"I knew I could count on you,"Blaise says with a smirk before shifting slightly to look at Daphne out of the corner of his eye.

Draco caught the look and shot his mate a smirk.

Blaise pulls his eyes back to Draco a look of pleading in his eyes. Giving a slight raised brow he tries to relay a promise to talk later. He can only hope that they have not lost this silent connection during their estrangement of last year.

"Daphne, my arm is falling asleep -do you mind if I switch with Blaise? He makes a pretty good pillow as well," the blond boy said looking down at the girl.
