Alex simply remained quiet as he observed Caden's continued behavior in regard to the Carrow woman. He was dancing with danger, but he supposed that had always been his way. He glanced toward the two Slytherins and observed that the Malfoy boy was also remaining quiet while Pansy provided Alecto with the answer she had been seeking.

Millicent hurriedly made her way to class before slowing her pace as she reached the door and smoothed her hair, sauntering in and taking a seat beside Pansy.
"Hey there," she greeted her friend before looking towards their teacher and Caden. That boy was becoming more and more interesting all the time. This was going to be very entertaining.

Caden winced again when the professor squeezed his hand, before shifting his gaze to Pansy as she answered the question. Glancing back at Alecto, he offered an easy shrug, musing, "What can I say? Silly things can be fun to talk about."

Ginny hurried to the Muggle studies room - she was late she knew... Thanks to none other than Alecto's psychotic brother. Not that she gave a damn about the class or making a good impression, but the she-devil ran it and unlike the creepy but defiable quantity that was Lestrange, the Carrows had taught her to pick her battles. There was only so many crucios a girl could take after all, and only so far you could push these nut bags before they got inventive...
Finally reaching the room, the redhead pushed open the door head down as she slipped quietly to her desk, honestly not stupid enough to hope it would be allowed to slide. Internally she was waiting for the inevitable comment...

Alecto offered Caden a smile "Looks like at this rate, with that mouth I might need that imperious after all, doesn't it Pet?"
The woman offered him a smirk and hair ruffle before facing the class, just missing Weasley slip in she slid her gaze over the group. So many pets, so little time. "Hmm, it seems we're ready to start… one or two students are missing but I'll deal with them later. Now, Filthy Dirt Wallowing Muggles," Alecto said making the board turn with a flick of her wand. On there were gruesome pictures of people being burt on the steak by evil looking muggles. "Does anyone know where this image comes from?"

Unbelievably her luck seemed to be in... Ginny making it to her seat unchallenged as she dark haired woman turned to face them, obviously having missed her late sneaky entrance.
Or perhaps she was just waiting to pick her up on something else. SHe wouldn't put it past the sadist.
Her eyes flickered briefly to the board, taking in the greusome and archaic image in a second before she shifted her eyes in disgust back to her text book-while the sentiment of this particular book (educational text her arse) was not much better at least she could glare at the words without reading them rather than look at the vile picture.

"Exactly," Alecto said with a laugh "Where filthy, idiotic muggles killed one another thinking they were killing us." She tilted her head her gaze turning over the class, "However, as stupid as their actions were- what, exactly, does that tell you about Muggles and their opinions of our kind?"

"Exactly!" Alecto said with a flick of her wand the flames came to life on the picture and the female figure inside screamed. "They have a particular hate for women whom they believe to be witches, but they hate any and all magic. All of these muggle loving mudwallowers would have you believing that *we* are the cruel ones for wanting to kill them before they kill us- however we are just looking out for the future of our children the same way these sick muggles thought they were doing when they killed their own in an attempt to purify their society of witchcraft."

She went over by Millicent "Yes, finally someone with sense. Hell, even the muggles believe this themselves. Or have you not seen how they treat one another? Declaring other races who have different education, traditions or less powers than them as heathens or savages- then murdering them and taking their land."
Alecto laughed a bit looking at Weasley and those like her "If Muggles knew of us and had more power than use would we not already be burned at a steak," she said motioning to the picture where the flailing woman was now losing skin while others stood about and cheered. "Muggles kill one another by the millions, yet these pathetic mudbloods and their muggle loving lackeys would have you think we're submitting them to horrors they've never seen before."
She paced "No dear kiddies, I'm going to show you the side of muggles that your dearly departed former teacher never would... I'm going to show you their *real* side. We'll see just who the monsters are..."

Millicent's smirk widened a little. She liked this Alecto. She knew what she was talking about and actually firmly believed in her cause. Her strong opinions were firmly rooted. It was so true, the Muggles killed one another too. They rejected anything that was even remotely different. So many like Dumbledore had taken pity on their kind, while they deserved none of it.
She looked to the picture with a little glare as the crowd cheered. What they deserved was the very same treatment.

Annoyance built in Ginny as the woman met her words, taunting her, needling her patience.
Some of what she said was true - of course she knew of the Salem witch trials; a dark time in muggle history where they did indeed commit atrocities, but to use that as proof that they were as a species only worthy of death...
"And our kind has never committed horrors?" the words pushed past her lips, eyes defiant as she met the woman's eyes with a glare. "A few hundred years ago we were all living in peace and harmony? We don't use 'blood' to call people savages and crush them under our ideals? You're not teaching about muggles, you're teaching about human nature."
she knew she'd regret them, regret rising to the mad woman's bait... but bloody hell, she was sick of all this slander and lies. This skewed perception of reality, to call out about horrors as you were torturing innocents.

Alecto smiled a bit and rose a brow "Oh really? -By all means Mrs. Weasley, list our atrocities- in fact list one that's worse than the wiping out of the Native Americans in the Americas by the Spanish and European muggles- or one as bad as the killing of the Jewish muggles in our neighboring Germany... and of course I could very well go on... can you?"
A challenging dark brow rose. "I tell you what, I'll give you a chance to name actions of ours that have been worse the the murders and genocide committed by muggles. If you have a point I will award 10 of them to Gryffindor for each one... if you name one that is wrong... well.. loosing points is so passe... how about I'll hex one of your classmates. She wandered around the room stopping beside Alex- "I'll start here.."

The redhead's eyes grew brighter as her anger burned, hands curling into fists as she glared hatefully at the woman, though she bit her tongue, following the nutter's wand to Alex.
Oh she wanted to argue, desperately wanted to prove the evil cow wrong - not that she would ever admit it mind you, Ginny wasn't fool enough to believe that, but to listen to her vile prejudice unchallenged...
If the wand had been aimed at her she *might* have been stupid enough to answer, but as much as her heart rebelled against it, she knew it was better to take her insanity and hatred than to let her friends be tortured for her inability to keep her mouth shut.
"No, Professor," she forced out, schooling her voice to humble as she ducked her head to her desk. "You're right, I can't. I'm sorry for talking out of place."
The words were like oil in her mouth - thick and claggy, making her want to puke, but she forced them out, making her mind focus on the mental image of Alex screaming under a crucio.
Godric and Salazar united she hated this woman.

Aleto's gaze twinkled with amusement "Come now Miss. Weasley... are you that uncertain of your convictions? Does it make you nervous for your friend or are you just that uninformed?" She tiled her head before moving "I'll tell you what... I'll do you a favor. You're a Gryffindor correct..." she moved again, walking until she came to a halt next to Draco's desk her wand pointed at him. "Your rivals are Slytherin? So why don't I make it a bit easier for you to display your usual boldness and lack of tact... I'll start with Mr. Malfoy instead..."

Oh bloody hell... of all the Snakes why did she have to choose him?
Oh wait she knew that one, because the damn psycopath liked to torture him. Guilty, apologetic eyes briefly met with Draco's before Ginny lowered her eyes again in submission, swallowing past the lump of unfairness in her throat.
No more pride, or indignation, not here, not now... She was not about to sit back and cause Draco to be tortured, she wasn't. She'd say whatever it took just so long as the mad bitch left him be.
Alecto might be mad, but she was smart... she knew Ginny would be defiant as long as it was her ass on the line. Picking someone else she knew would shake the redhead's determination. Why she had elected it to be a Slytherin she didn't know - either to test her dislike for torture, or to see if there really was a vicious streak in her she supposed.
Time to play the weak card then... Gods she hated this, hated it with every fibre of her body.
"No Professor, I don't have any convictions. I was wrong, I spoke in ignorance, I'm sorry."

Draco was careful not to look at Ginny, though he did admit to being unsure as to which route she would take. She was very much so vocal in her opinions on muggle rights and right and wrong according to her inherited view point. When she relented and apologized his gaze flicked to her, but he didn't dare relax, not yet- no telling what Alecto's reaction would be to it. If she would accept it or just keep pushing.
