Narrow Corridor

A corridor.

Daphne walked along the corridor trying to get some peace and quiet.

Draco moved along the corridor, he just wanted to keep his head down and get back to Slytherin Common room with no incident.

DAphne stopped for a Moment leaning against the wall. Things really have changed this year and she wasn't sure what to make of it.

Draco paused as he noticed someone just ahead. With the walkway being so narrow there was really nowhere to go, however upon further inspection he took note that, luckily, it wasn't a teacher just ahead but one of his fellow Snakes.

"Daph..." the boy said as he came up upon the girl. "Are you okay?"

DAphne looked up when she heard the famiar voice and gave him a hlf smile "Just peachy." she said.

[Draco Malfoy]

"Ahh, well that *is* a just peachy tone," he said dryly, leaning against the way and crossing his arms over his chest. "So? Spill? What's the problem?"

[Daphne Greengrass]

DAphne sighed "I'm not quite sure I like the changes done to Hogwarts." she told him quitly not wanting to be oveheard. "I know what my parents want but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it." she added.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco's gaze flicked over her "Hmm... have you told anyone else about this?"

[Daphne Greengrass]

Daphne shook her head "No." she added "And what's with you?" she asked "You look tired." she added.

[Draco Malfoy]

"I'm fine." Draco said his gaze on her "Listen to me Daph. You tell *no one* not even Pansy what you just told me. The fact is the old Kook is..." he paushed shaking his head, an unwanted memory returning as he ruffled his hair. "Anyway he's gone, and Potter is off somewhere hiding with his tail between his legs. This is where we are now. What we have. Just keep your head down, do as they say and make it through the year. *Then* you can have an opinion. Okay?"

DAphne sighed and nodded "You're right Draco, I'll try my best." she said. "YEah well it was obvious that someday Potter would just run away." she added.

[Draco Malfoy]

"Was it?" the blond muttered refusing to allow his full frustration to show. His gaze flicked to Greengrass, she was attractive and not bad but pretty dim witted as far as he'd seen. He wondered how long she would last. "What's your first class?"

[Daphne Greengrass]

"DArk Arts." she said with a sigh "So wonder how Professor Carrow will be." she added but you probably wouldn't have to wonder much. He would probably want to make them all into new Death eathers.

[Draco Malfoy]

"The Carrows?.." Draco sighed. "I've not met them personally though Aunt Bellatrix has spoken of them. Be careful and just do as he asks with no questions. I hear he's a bit happy with his wand if you know what I mean."

[Daphne Greengrass]

DAphne nodded "i'll be careful." she said "But so should you Draco," she added. "What's your first class?"

[Draco Malfoy]

"Same..." the blond sighed not liking the interest the Carrows seemed to have taken in him when they passed in the hall. "I suppose we'll see how it goes. If we're lucky they'll mainly focus on the Mudbloods."

DAphne nodded "WE can only hope." she said even tough she didn't particularly care about the muggleborns she didn't want them to be tortured all the tme. But better them and she and Draco and some of her friends.

[Draco Malfoy]

The blond scoffed lightly and shook his head "Home?... Don't even waste your time with something so foolish."

[Daphne Greengrass]

DAphne sighed "But if we don't have hope, what is left?" she asked "How do you do it Draco?" she added.

[Draco Malfoy]

"What's left? Reality," the blond almost snapped before shaking his hair and running a hand through his hair. This summer had been hell and honestly he'd seen more murder than he'd ever wanted to see in his life. All of this power and purity crap was great if you didn't have to f**k**g dream -ever. "How do I do what?" he asked almost distracted, a frown on his face.

"Deal with everything?" she asked "I mean you must be under so much preassure." she added.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco looked at her for a moment before shrugging "I'm Slytherin, just like you. We do what we have to to survive."

Daphne nodded "indeed we do." She replied.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco looked at her for a long moment "So... you and Nott still hanging out? I've noticed he's been sniffing about Pansy this term..."

(totally winging this by the way, lol)

"Me and Theo?" she asked shaking her head "We're just friends." she added "I don't think I agree with his views that much if you know what I mean." she said with a smirk "Are you afraid Pansy might come less to you because she prefers Theo now?" she added teasingly. She was glad that at least sometimes she could still have moments like this with Draco.

[Draco Malfoy]

The blond almost snorted at the concept "Pansy will never come less to me... or with me..." he finished thoughtfully before wagging his brows at her teasingly.

Daphne shook her head and then pulled a face slapping his shoulder "Eww Draco that was too much information." she said. Not that she didn't find him attractive but he was more of a brother to her than anything and thinking about him doing stuff with Pansy...that was jsut information she didn't need to know.

Draco actually laughed a bit "Well, you can't say I don't share with you."

[Daphne Greengrass]

"Nope but no need to overshare." she said with a smirk "Or I will do the same when I have something to share." she added with a glint.
