Dumbledore's Army

A room for the DA to be able to practice and rest after attacks by the DE's on the groundsm, this room also has practice dummys for target as well as couches and hammocks for lying down. This room is accessable to all members of Dumbledore's Army and only to those members.

Susan walks into the room breathing a sigh as she finally relaxes. It was nice to be back with her friends but stressful at the same time.

Ginny looked up from the books she had been studying, a few scattered papers out before her - notes her and Neville were working on for their training plans, agendas for the next official meeting and some stray ideas on how to strike back at the monsterous Carrows.

"Susan," Ginny greeted the other girl, mouth curving up slightly in a smile.

"Ginny,"Susan Susan greets with a smile. "Need some help?" She continues with a gesture toward the array of books and parchment.

"Sure," she returned wryly, gesturing the other girl to come and join her. "Don't suppose you know a counter for [insert ark spell here as Im to lazy to think up a name] off the top of your head do you? I'm trying to make a list of useful spells for us to learn based on what the Carrows have been throwing about."

"Not off the top of my head no," Susan says walking over and taking a seat next to Ginny. "However I wouldn't be opposed to helping you look." She figured this must be a good distracting for Ginny from worrying after her brother and the others.

"Thanks," Ginny murmured before letting out a long, tired breath as she passed the fellow redhead a book to leaf through. "Take a note of anything that might be useful to us, even if its not what we're looking for," she advised as she pushed aside the book she had been looking at in favour of another.

"So how was your summer anyway?" she asked absenty as she began to flick thorugh a new book.

"They were eventful to say the least," Susan replies as she begins leaving through the book. "Until the ministry fell aunty was busy. How was yours?"

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny cast her friend a droll look.

"Eventful doesn't cover it. Bill got married. The twins started dealing to the resistance. Ministry fell... oh and mu brother went on the run with my boyfriend and their best mate and became the three most wanted people in Britain. Good times."

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Busy," Susan comments with a knowing look. "And how are you doing with all of this?". Susan scans the page she is on before copying the spell and description onto the parchment she then adds where it can be found for further study.

[Ginny Weasley]

"We talking bout my summer or this spell hunting?" the redhead asked wryly.

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Your brother or which ever you want," Susan says casting a glance at Ginny.

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny snorted a breath, half tempted to ask *which* brother, though she held back at the last minute. Susan didn't deserve to hear her snark, just because the rest of the school had been hounding her. It was natural to be curious after all, and she was trying to be supportive.

"It is what it is," she said at last with a small shrug. "I don't like it... but we're at war. Ron has to do what he needs to, to bring down Voldemort. And so does Harry..."

She broke off there, heart contracting a little to painfully at the memory of her currently ex-boyfriend.

"That does not mean we can not hurt,"Susan says softly. "It is alright to worry about them and everyone else. You do not have to suffer a lone."

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny glanced up to the other redhead, offering her a rueful tilt of her lips.

"Thanks... I appreciate what you're trying to do, but honestly? I find it easier not to think on it - dwelling on it wont change anything, wont make them safer... so yeah, easier to focus on what I CAN change."

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Understandable,"Susan remarks with a nod. "Just... if you ever want to talk I'm here for you.". Susan returns her attention to a the book flipping a few pages before writing more down.

[Ginny Weasley]

Smiling wanly, Ginny did the same, though her warm brown eyes remained stationary on the page, staring at the words without reading them.

"Is it selfish of me to be mad at him?" she asked after several long minutes, voice soft, barely more than a whisper, eyes not lifting from her book. "Harry I mean... I knew who he was when I got together with him... knew that one day it'd come down to him versus Voldemort."

"No it's not," Susan says calmly as she sets her book down.

[Ginny Weasley]

She let out a mirthless chuckle, ducking her head, hand lifting to run through her locks.

"Would you believe that was part of the fantasy once?" she added, tone somewhere between self depreciating and whistful. "Back before I really knew him. When he was just Ron's famous friend. Falling in love with a hero... it sounded so grand. Now all I want is for him to be like everyone else. To stop being so noble for once, to do what he wanted instead of what he had to.."

A look of ironic bitter amusement passed over her face as she glanced up at her friend.

"Still think I don't sound selfish?" she asked wryly. "I mean, he is saving the whole of the Wizarding world after all. As reasons to dump someone goes, its a pretty good one..."

"Did he call you selfish?" Susan asks crossing her legs in front of her. "Selfish would have been locking him in a tower until this was all done. Instead you are sharing him with all of us. I don't think I could do that."

[Ginny Weasley]

"No no, of course not. He never would," she answered quickly shaking her head. "I never said anything like that to him - whats the point? He had to go, me arguing would only have made it harder for him, it wouldn't have stopped him. Its just who he is."

[Saka (M.H.)]

"It is at that," Susan agrees. "However you have no idea how unselfish you are. Not only did you let your boyfriend go but also your brother and friend, now you are helping everyone else. It is alright to wish they were here with you."

[Ginny Weasley]

Ginny's eyes lifted to settle on the Hufflepuff's face, flickering over it for a few beats as she sought out the truth to her words before her shoulder slowly relaxed, a soft breath leaving her lips before she quirked them into a small, grateful, if still vaguely ironic smile.

"I still FEEL a little selfish," she admitted. "But thanks... I guess I needed to hear that."

"Not a problem, we all need pep talks sometimes," Susan says with a slight smile.

[Ginny Weasley]

Chuckling dryly, Ginny shook her head.

"Anyway... on to less pathetic things I think," she said firmly, inhaling a deep breath and forcing a more genuine smile as she turned her gaze to the older witch. "How's *your* love life these days? Anyone you got your eye on?"

It was such a frivolous conversation with everything that was going on, but damn it, sometimes a girl just needed a bit of frivolity in this hell to make you smile.

"Actually no there isn't," Susan says dryly flipping a page in her book. "I don't know what it is I just haven't been thinking of anyone lately.".

[Ginny Weasley]

"Trade ya," Ginny shot back drolly before chuckling and shaking her head. "Well that kills that attempt to be lightsome... Any other gossip? Preferrably something that doesn't involve Death Eaters, criminals, the war or people dying?"

What do you think of the new Ruins(I think that is what he teaches) ?" Susan asks with forced lightness.
